All Blacks beat Argentina



As part of our reading programme we engage in reading tasks from the Kiwikidsnews resource which involve the use of higher level thinking to respond to comprehension tasks.

The All Blacks have started their defence of the World Cup with a hard fought 26-16 victory over Argentina.All Blacks played their first pool match for this year's Rugby World Cup.They trailed at the half 13-12 with Richie Mccaw  and Conrad Smith both getting yellow carded.Coming back with a strong comeback in the second half securing the win 26-16 over Argentina.Aaron smith and Sam Cane scoring the Second half tries.Dan Carter kicked  six from six four penalties and two conversions.


This event was held at Wembley Stadium.This was the record for the most people at this game with just over 89,000.Breaking the record of 83,000 which was held in Australia for the 2003 final.It is were the fa cup football  games are played and was were some of the 2012 Olympic games was held.

The event happened on the 20th of September.The All blacks with the scrappy comeback win proves why the are the best rugby team in the world.This can lead them into the qualifying  round of the world cup because of the teams they are yet  play. This event took place to see who can make the quarter finals later on in the competition.And too see who will lead the table for pool c.Which the All blacks hold for now.Only placing 3 points over Georgia who beat Tonga 17 points to 10.
